We are launching an autonomous GSE deployment at FRA in Q1 2025 and are seeking an exceptional Project Lead to help us manage the deployment. This position is a contract role from January to June 2025, based in Frankfurt, Germany with training in Atlanta, GA, USA.
Responsibilities:
Lead the management and coordination of daily autonomous GSE deployment operations at FRA, including setting schedules and ensuring efficient operations.
Support the engineering team by ensuring availability and timely provision of essential resources such as safety drivers, vehicles, and airside access.
Handle the process of airside badging and vehicle permits, conducting meticulous follow-ups to ensure adherence to FRA’s regulations.
Manage the team of safety drivers, ensuring safety driving operations are compliant with AeroVect’s safety driving protocols.
Act as the primary liaison for our customer, handling all communication and updates related to the deployment, and facilitating a seamless customer experience.
Serve as the first point of contact for deployment-related issues, identifying challenges, and coordinating efforts for swift mitigation. Proactively communicate with AeroVect leadership and our customer.
Deliver comprehensive reports on deployment progress, operational issues, resolutions, and performance for both AeroVect leadership and our customer.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field.
Exceptional attention to detail – must be able to track and manage deployment operations, identify discrepancies, and closely monitor project status.
Strong organizational and prioritization skills to effectively manage a range of tasks and responsibilities.
High level of maturity and excellent problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a balance of professionalism and friendliness.
Experience in managing on-the-ground operations teams in a high-stakes, safety-critical environment.
Must possess a valid EU driver's license with a clean driving record.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Desired Qualifications:
Previous experience with field deployment of industrial robotics or complex engineering products.
Experience managing safety protocols and regulations in an airport operations environment.
Experience in ground handling operations in a European airport
